ABOUT US

I have lived in Oxford for over 40 years, attending Matthew Arnold School, Oxford College, Buckingham Chilterns University and Oxford Brookes University. I am currently studying Canine Behaviour at the British College of Canine Studies, and will be providing behavioural advice as part of Walkies services soon.

After many years in management, consultancy and charity work, I set up Walkies in 2011 to provide a professional dog walking service in Oxford, making the decision that I wanted to work for myself, and there would be nothing better than working with dogs. Being bought up with dogs has given me a lifetimes experience of dog ownership, and I have worked hard to gain knowledge to enable me to reliably and safely walk dogs for my clients.
I have two terriers of my own. Edward (AKA Ed) is my 'bonkers Border Terrier'. He loves walking with the Walkies dogs and has endless energy. He was badly treated as a pup and came to me as a very scared youngster, after spending the first 8 months of his life unsocialised. The world was a very scary place for him and now he lives life to the full.. I am also owned by Vera, my rehomed Jack Russel. As you would expect she is a girl who is full of zest, knows her own mind, but has amazing recall and is a total joy to have around.

I also ride and keep horses. I have two, a nutty Welsh Cob, Storm, and a Welsh Part-bred, Biscuit, who I bred from my daughters jumping pony.

I have assistants who help me out, picking up dogs and walking with the group.
